Day 15 - 20 Oct - Down time with the Jr Mud Dragons

Day 15 was nice and relaxing.  It included things like dropping off Jr Dragon Owen at school, and spending time with Jr Dragon Oliver and his mom, Lindsey.  Lindsey and Oliver and I had a great day at a nearby park.  I have to say that I hit the absolute sweet spot when it comes to weather in Arizona!  While snow is forecast for my hometown of Rexburg, ID, yesterday was a completely comfortable flip flop day.

Later in the day we took a walk and Oliver took his bicycle complete with training wheels (he's 3).  And when we got back, he said he was done with training wheels, so off they came.  Oliver is already an experienced Strider biker, so he's probably right.

We went up and down the sidewalk multiple times, and he's very close to being a full-blown bicyclist.

I ran an errand to the local post office for Lindsey and then stopped at QT (for me).  That is, Quick Trip.  QT is Arizona's answer to Maverik Gas Stations :-).

The Jr Dragons were thrilled , amazed, and a little bit scared when they got back from picking up Owen from school, and they found THIS in their house...

I've been trying to train my darned dino to stay off the furniture...but, you can see that's going!

Later, Lindsey made some super yummy cornbread, but not just any cornbread, this was skull, ghost and jack-o-lantern corn bread, for dinner.  Thanks Lindsey!

While the cornbread was baking, I cut the Jr Mud Dragons' hair.  It's been a while since I cut hair, but I cut my own Jr Dragons' (Grant and Matt) hair for years and years, so, no problem.

And, to cap the day, Lindsey, Jay and I watched the most recent episode of Andor.

You know what, it feels like it gets very late very early.  By about 8:30pm last night, I could barely keep my eyes open.  What's up with that!?  After a few days here, I finally realized that since Arizona doesn't do daylight savings time, that's why it feels so late so early.

This was another, enjoyable day of R&R in Arizona.

Stay tuned for Day 16...
